Eraser rating for HB leads

HB lead, of many kinds, used on medium roughness cheap paper but also smoother Oxford Optik Paper, the former often giving the worse erasure. Rating is "balanced" between the two.

Perfect erase, with no big downsides.

  • Kokuyo Resare; Perfect erase, no smudging, good clumping.
  • Sakura Arch Foam; Perfect erase, no smudging, great for thin paper.
  • Tombow Mono Regular (Black)

  • Omni 6B; Perfect erase, no smudging, needs thick paper, feels sticky instead of powdery.

    Either a close-to perfecte erase, or a perfect erase with downsides.

  • Bruynzeel 9424 D 36: Hard plastic eraser, old school, erases well but has no special clumping capabilities.

  • Deli Scribe Plus: Best Chinese eraser I've tried so far, pretty classic plastic eraser but erases well.
  • Hwarang 4B Jumbo: Not too sure if this is not a counterfeit, there are many similar looking erasers on AliExpress, but it works well.

  • Kutsuwa City RE020: Works best on smoother paper.

  • C-209 Plastic Eraser: No brand present, decent plastic eraser.

  • Hinodewashi (?) MOTiON: Sticky type eraser (like Omni-6B), but has smudging issues. Pretty sure it's a Hinodewashi eraser but can't find clear info.
